As a business which has operated out of Romsey in the Macedon Ranges for almost 90 years, Newearth Constructions is very much a part of community life in the region.
Doug Newnham and the Newnham family have been heavily involved with many aspects of community service from serving as a local government councillor and Shire President as well as being a life member of Lions International.
Support for the local community extends to long association with many of the local sporting teams and competitions including the Romsey Football and Netball Club, The Romsey Junior Football Club, The Lancefield Golf Open and the Cancer Council’s Relay for Life among others.
Similarly, Newearth Constructions provides regular and ongoing support to many of the local schools and other community groups in the region.
Further, we appreciate that as the largest employer in Romsey, we have a special responsibility to support employment where we can, especially in providing pathways for young people. Newearth Constructions has an established Apprenticeship program where we offer a civil construction or mechanical apprenticeship each year to someone from the local community. This program has run for many years with many of the apprentices remaining with the company as full time employees. Please refer to the Careers page for more information.
